Pimleur promises that you will talk like a native in 10 days. Pimsleur does not even specify the language, Spanish? Chinese? Hungarian? Who knows? Pimsleur is a venerable name in language learning. Why this “snake-oil salesman” approach to promoting their product.

I used Pimsleur to learn the bulk of my Japanese. Their method of learning, in my honest opinion, is efficient and a lot of fun. It suits my lifestyle, listening to one lesson a day, letting the course pace my progress so I don’t have to worry about it. I listen in my car, while I do housecleaning, walk the dog, etc.
I love it. You can’t keep me from it, but I respect the opinions of others if they think it is not for them.
Pimsleur Approach is NOT the Pimsleur Official manufacturer, but a re-seller, and I detest how they make these outrageous claims.
