How hard do corporate language learners try?
In the crowded Rome subway I happened to sit beside a lady from England, who was teaching English to company employees in Germany. She said that her students basically saw their language lessons as a sort of perk, really only wanted to chat in these one on one sessions, and refused to do any homework. They made little progress.
Is this the reality of most language learners, or just the corporate learners?
